This page provides a detailed copy of our puppy policy/purchase agreement offered to our potential buyers. To confirm the sale of your puppy, you would simply read over the policy to make sure it suits your needs as a buyer, then copy and paste it into an email to us @ Hogansbulldogs@hotmail.com, (filling in the form with your specific information: name, date, price, etc...) When puppy is ready for placement we will send the policy/ purchase agreement with our signature along with the puppy.Hogan Bulldogs guarantees that the puppy sold is in good physical health on this day of purchase. All necessary shots and worming have been done.
The purchaser agrees to take this puppy to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 48 hours for a health check. Hogan Bulldogs must be informed immediately of this examination should the puppy be determined to be unfit for purchase due to illness, disease or congenital disorder, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the seller, the puppy may upon presentation of a written diagnosis from said veterinarian be returned (along with AKC papers and current health records) for another puppy of equal value by the seller. We do not give cash refunds. If the puppy is spayed or neutered without the written permission of the breeder this contract is null and void. The purchaser is responsible for all shipping cost for sending puppy back and for the replacement. Puppies that are shipped are at risk for Coccidia and Kennel cough which is common in puppies that are shipped and usually caused by bacteria. Kennel cough is self limiting and like the common cold, it must run it course. Full recovery is expected and kennel cough on its own is not life threatening. So if you plan to have you puppy shipped instead of picking it up you need to be aware of this. Hogan Bulldogs also offers a replacement guarantee on our puppies up to 1 year of age. If the puppy develops congenital or hereditary life threating disorder, we will replace the puppy with another puppy of same sex, breed and equal value, at our first opportunity, provided the conditions below are met and kept by the buyer: Buyer pays shipping costs.
1. Buyer will offer this puppy back to breeder first if ever in need of placement.
2. If puppy dies within one month a replacement will be offered providing the buyer has a veterinarian's autopsy report which indicates that a congenital defect was the cause of death. Buyer pays all shipping costs involved in obtaining a replacement puppy.
3. Buyer agrees to provide routine veterinary care of this puppy. Including proper vaccinations,routine worm checks, heart worm treatments,and records of such care should buyer have to return puppy for replacement.
4. Buyer understands contract will be void if buyer fails to provide routine veterinary care, if puppy is sold transferred or injured by accident or neglect. This guarantee does not cover any common puppy ailments such as worms, vitamin deficiencies, any viral bacterial diseases or disorders brought on by parasites, or common traits in a Bulldog such as: Cherry eye, Entropion, "loose" hips or skin allergies or demodectic mange. Demodex is common in the bulldog breed. It can be treated as can the other conditions mentioned above.
5. Hogan Bulldogs will not be responsible for veterinarian fees or costs. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means regular trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all payments.
6.There is no guarantee or warranty that the buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potentials.8. This contract is valid only for the original buyer and puppy, and is not transferable.I, the buyer have read this contract, understand fully the contents thereof and acknowledge receipt of it. We are not relying on verbal statements not contained herein.We accept a $500.00 non-refundable deposit, that will hold the puppy you pick until ready for placement. The remaining balance is due before the puppy is picked up or one week prior to shipment. If you do not pay for your puppy by 7 weeks of age, you will lose your deposit.This contract replaces any previous contract. 7. Your puppy has been started on NuVet Vitamins and should remain on them for the length of the contract unless you chose to keep them on them for life. They do help keep your puppy healthy.
8. In the unlikely event that a dog is suspected of being dysplastic in its first two years, this is the procedure to follow:
o Notify us by Telephone or Letter.
o The dog must have been x-rayed for this condition BEFORE its second birthday, but NOT before 1½ years old (sometimes an early x-ray will not portray true results during growth spurts).
o Submit the x-ray to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65210
o The dog must never have been used for breeding, not be overweight, and must still be with its original owner.
o No replacement will be given if the dog has been over exercised during its growth period (until 1.5 years old), which is running with or “jumping” the dog excessively in play.
